Brief History of the CompanyFord Sign Services began as Ford Advertising almost 40 years ago in a converted garage on Willard Street in Quincy, Massachusetts. Before the advent of large scale printing, lithographs, vinyls and computers, the only way to make a sign was to hand build it and hand paint it. And build and paint they did. Everything from modest wooden signs along Willard Street to 4 story tall signs announcing the development of One Post Office Square in Boston - one of the largest projects of its era. Now owned by the Ready family, Ford Advertising created Ford Sign Services to expand the business into the retail market. Ford Sign Services acquired the experience and resources to handle challenging jobs by installing everything from national retail stores to large corporate signage for a start up named Lo Jack. The company became well know for their ability to install unique and over-sized signage in difficult places for national and international companies. Now a part of Innovative Media Group, Inc., which owns Ford's affiliate Signature Signs, the vision of providing great service continues. |
